Very true.

My theory is that people don't consider local politicians when they elect them and they don't remember the things they do in past years that would otherwise remove them from office.

It's too easy to forget.

True.... I'm sure alot of people just say "Oh, he's a Republican" and vote for them. Or "Oh, he's a Democrat" and vote for them.

Oh, well, I would worry if I was a neighboring state to Oklahoma and felt that Jispanics were a sort of disease... Roll Eyes

I see a domino effect that will sweep the nation. If the federal government won't do anything the states will have to, one at a time, until the illegals are driven out of the country. Oklahoma has shown that nobody needs to "round up" anyone. The threat of deportation and no chance of illegal employment or benefits are reason enough for them to leave. If enough states get involved with enforcement of the law the illegals will deport themselves. The problem of "what do we do with millions of illegals who are here", will take care of itself. No amnesty needed.
The toilets will get cleaned, homes will still be built and the lawns will get mowed. The change will be that, the illegal employers who got fat and rich taking advantage of slave labor will need to find an honest and legal way to make money.
Quote
Most illegal immigrants are ending up in either Kansas or Arkansas. But, that may not be for long. Arkansas is about to adopt a law like Oklahoma's. Kansas is considering the same thing.

The Oklahoma legislation is truley bipartisan. Terrell who sponsered the bill is republican, the OK house and senate passed it easilly and the Governor Brad Henry, who signed it, is a Democrat.

Well yeah, but when you brought up partisan voting habits. I thought I would just point out that partisanship has nothing to do with the OK legislaion.
