Arafat Mausoleum

It may seems frivolous to spend $1.5 millions for a mausoleum in Palistine where money is rare and public services derelict and largely lacking funds.
But maybe that's what Palestinians still need the most: A symbol. Arafat was this symbol, but a monument will be stronger than the man. And it's better than kids in suicide bomber outfits.

It's the start of their nation as a state.

A symbol Abbas can use with perfection.

Are they calling it venting now?

I thought we were calling it the Malthus theory....How many Palis will this thing's dedication kill?

How quickly the world forgets that the group this reporting calls this "band of rebels" is none other than the government representation the Palestinian people elected into power less than 2 years ago....

And apparently to Peisithanatos, the above Palestinian/Hamas violence is "venting", and OF COURSE, not ultimately the fault of those shooting the bullets or throwing the rocks, but somehow, someone else's...namely, (to Peisi)... ISRAEL'S... (Imagine that...)

I wonder what he'd call it if Palestinians were shooting, stoning, or firing Qassam rockets at innocent Israeli's (Would he be excusing that on their behalf?? ) ... I wonder what he's call it if, God-forbid, Israeli's were shooting or stoning innocent random Palestinians??... Would Peisi call that "venting" too?? Somehow I doubt it.... But apparently, when it Palestinian on Palestinian violence, it's "venting" (and of course, as always someone else's fault but certainly not the fault of those actually doing the shooting and stoning (unless they're Israel of course..lol)).

Arabs have a tendency to play with guns and kill each other periodically. Look at Iraq. How much that justifies occupation, u're to judge. Watch the coming Annapolis gathering, and how ISrael will AGAIN dodge real issues, and AGAIN reject returning the territories (if that will be discussed at all). Watch and don't say u were not forewarned. When u're tired defending Is-it-real's annexationism, u might be ready to see the exit. And the exit is that Israel gives up the Occupied Territories and the Pals give up the Right of Return.

I think this massacre of civilians carried out by the Hamas led government is atrocious. They are no better than the Israeli occupiers. This is just another blow to the Hamas movement and a huge political gain for the Fatah government.

This massacre not only is drawing more people to the more moderate Fatah side throughout the Arab world, but is also strengthening the party inside the West Bank and even the Gaza Strip.

Reading that the people called the Hamas police forces "Shiites" if true, is truly great to the peace process. The people are finally starting to realize that Hamas is not the beacon of liberation which people once thought, but a puppet regime that is bent on maintaining its power.

If the peace process being worked on between Fatah and Israel actually does bring some success, this could bring about a new age of peace and stability to the Middle East and hopefully will unite people to bring down the savage puppet regime of Iran known as Hamas.
