So basically China manages its foreign policy better than we do?
No moral judgment here but I'd have to say, 'yes'. The Chinese are much more 'wait and see' but when they need to act they seem to make sure they've done their homework insomuch as carrot/stick diplomacy goes. They seem to have had their intended results/effect with North Korea after the 'bomb' test, for example, and when the American spy plane went down a few years back they handled that one expertly. They got everything they could've possibly wanted from that incident which really should've made
them look much worse, (as in, incompetent).
