Topic: Plans for new year's eve

So, any plans anyone?

Not me. Don't have any, don't plan on having any.

The person I wanted to spend new year's eve with can't make it, so I decided to stay home.

I will be spending it with my nephew (4) and my niece(2) instead. And of course anyone in the family who doesn't plan on going out. I'm not sure who that is yet, but we will probably end up with an improvised celebration after all  lol

Of course, should that special someone make it.....

Re: Plans for new year's eve

My cousin, who I am extremely close to, is retiring from the Navy and was supposed to come in on the morning of the 31st. Unfortunately it was pushed back to January. Which is probably better, since my plans are now scrapped.

Never really enjoyed the holiday. It's the one day a year (with the possible exception of St. Patrick's Day) where amateurs get wasted. As a professional drinker, I usually take the day off.

Why would you want to welcome the new year drunk and spend the first day of the year with a hangover and a splitting headache? yikes  hmm

I like to be fresh and full of energy and look at the new year in the eye and say: You're going to be mine

Got laid off. Well actually what happened was my boss changed my job alittle bit then gave it to his best friend.
Was unemployed for like 8 months now making a crappy wage at a crappy job but those are the breaks.

Besides experienced drunks know how to avoid the hangover part.

Cedar, your a morning person aren't you? That rare breed of human placed on this planet to piss the rest of us off in the wee hours of the dawn with a perky disposition and too damned much energy for that early.

Actually I am  lol lol  Not really dawn, but I never sleep past 7:30 AM on weekends, and always wake up at 6:30 on weekdays to go to work. And I always wake up full of energy because I sleep like a baby.

I'm like a ray of sunshine the morning  tongue  cool

The only reasonable excuse for being up at 630 AM is when your still up and then there had better be good whiskey and a bad woman involved.

Not really into whiskey.  Got a great single malt, and some awesome tequila around though.  Bad women yes.

Another reasonable excuse is that I have to be in the office at 8:15  tongue

Besides, that bad woman thing would be quite unreasonable for me  tongue

Ok, as I make this post, it's 9:51 AM Christmas day Beirut time.

Today, I woke up at 6:15 AM (mainly because I slept too early yesterday as I was exhausted). Went to church at 8:15. After church I went to a sweet shop to buy some christmas sweets, came home by 9:30, had my Nescafé, sat down with my mother and aunt who arrived yesterday, and now as I wait for the crowd to arrive (i.e. my brother's family, my other brother's fiancée...and whoever decides to come suddenly), I am posting on IAP to wish my overseas friends a Merry Christmas.

See? There's a lot you can do when you wake up early  big_smile if you're a good woman  lol  lol

Whiskey makes me violent towards others, and tequila makes me violent towards myself. Needless to say, I drink a lot of whiskey.

Even received a couple bottles for Christmas.   cool
